I didn’t think you could replicate perfection, but I had to find out for myself at the new Plaza Pizza location in Johnstown. Whatever you picture when you close your eyes and dream of the perfect pizza, This is what Plaza pizza has for you. The staff is welcoming, friendly, and accommodating. I almost felt like I was talking to a family member. The service was prompt and professional with no mistakes. The food was everything I wanted it to be. Everything tasted fresh and homemade - Like it was out of an Italian Kitchen. Far and away the best pizza I’ve ever eaten in my life. I highly recommend Plaza Pizza, you won’t be disappointed. By all means don’t take my word for it, go down and find out for yourself! You’ll be hooked!

Original from Newark, OH. Had to move and missed this pizza dearly. So happy a new restaurant was opened closer to me. Flaky thin crust, real cheese and pepperoni. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed

If you’re looking for the best pizza in the area- this is it! Great location, friendliest staff ever and super clean!!! The pizza is amazing- perfect sauce, thin flaky crust. We loved the Buffalo Chicken Pizza, Pepperoni Pizza, Cheesy Garlic Bread with Marinara, Shirley Lou Dessert Pizza, Garden Salad (love that they use fresh ingredients and don’t skimp on the cheese!!!!) and the BLT Pizza! We have a big family of picky eaters and literally loved everything!! Thank you!!!! And thank you for being so friendly and kind to customers!

I stopped in on my way through from Baltimore to Chicago and met a friend here for a late lunch. The pizza was phenomenal and the staff were nice and helpful. Clean bathrooms too (which is great when you're traveling). 10/10. Thanks, Plaza, for a comfortable place to make a pitstop!

Plaza Pizza is awesome! Happened to be traveling through the area right after this location opened, so we gave it a try. It did not disappoint! Glad it wasn’t just another pizza shop - this place is a notch above the rest! We ordered a variety of pizzas and appetizers since we were ordering for a large family - everyone loved it! It was quick, they have great menu options, takeout was packaged well, the staff was polite, and the restaurant was very clean. We will definitely be back the next time we’re in the area!

Edit: This review was for Dirko's Pizza in Johnstown, Ohio in 2024, which has now been sold to Plaza Pizza. Check out Plaza Pizza for their grand opening Jan 31, 2025. Fingers crossed hoping they'll consider selling stromboli like Dirkos ------ It's SO GOOD. Try the chicken bacon ranch pizza. The pictures don't even do it justice — it's seriously delicious. Perfectly crispy bacon and the right amount of ranch. We'll be back to try the stromboli another time. Update: The stromboli is perfect too! We also got to try a new pizza, buffalo cbr — nice kick.

Tried today for the first time since they opened. Great crust and well done pizzas. Loved the buffalo chicken and garlic bread and veggie was amazing as well. Slightly disappointed I couldn’t find an option to customize or build my own. Maybe I missed that option or that’s not your thing. Will definitely keep coming back. Also would have been great if you had wings.
